Silver “Sputnik” from PRAVEX-BANK
PRAVEX-BANK again replenished coin collection with 11 kinds from mints of New Zealand and Cambodia. Now coin collection of PRAVEX-BANK constitutes 4 000 and is represented by 200 kinds of various world mints: Chinese, Australian, German, Finish, Greek, British, Italian, Spanish, Liberian, South African, Austrian, French etc.
The most interesting coins in new group of coins, deserving special attention, are two coins of series «Sputnik» from New Zealand — «50-anniversary of Sputnik launch» and «50-anniversary of Sputnik, Figy». The first coin represents coin that has rolling globe inside of it. There is the Earth and sputnik on the second one, and box is made as globe, it is possible to hear the sound of the first man-made sputnik. These coins are made of silver of 999 fineness, weight of one ounce.
Series of "Sputnik" coins was issued in honor of 50-anniversary launch in space of the first Earth sputnik, made by Sergey Korolyev.
