Wonders of the world in coins from PRAVEX-BANK
Cambodian mint series "Wonders of the world" deserves special consideration in PRAVEX-BANK coins catalogue.
This series is dedicated to the most wonderful constructions and monuments of art from all over the world.
The first coin represents Ancient Egyptian pyramids constructed as tombs for Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. The second coin is dedicated to the Colosseum — the biggest of all Roman amphitheatres which was built in 70 A.D. in Rome and is one of the finest constructions in the world. The third coin bears the imprint of the Great Wall of China which includes 6 350 km of all lines. The fourth coin represents the Taj Mahal. This great mausoleum-mosque of white marble was erected in India by the order of the Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his defunct wife. Cambodian temple Angkor-vat stands in splendour on the fifth coin. This is the largest religious construction in the world of total surface of 2 sq km. Buddhist temple of Indonesia is situated on the last coin in this series, this is Borobodur temple constructed in about 800 A.D. The coins are made of gold and silver amounting from 2 100 to 3 000 copies.
