Charity program from PRAVEX-BANK and Intesa Sanpaolo in the context of AFS Intercultura project summer cultural and educational trip to Italy 2010
PRAVEX-BANK PJSCCB together with the parent company — Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. is holding charity program for children of employees within the ranges of the AFS Intercultura project — summer cultural and educational trip to Italy 2010.
Arrival in Rome with immediate transfer to Colle Val D'Elsa (half way between Florence and Siena) where the students will participate in a 6 day camp (6 nights) including a language course and hands on activities on Italian traditions for 5 days, 3 half day trips to Florence, Siena and S. Gimignano. They will then transfer to their homestay with an Italian family for 26 days. The students will conclude their program with a visit of Rome and a Final Evaluation (3 nights).
On arrival students will be met by volunteers who will assist them in the transfer by bus from the airport to the hotel in Colle Val D'Elsa where they will have the Arrival Orientation. During the first evening the participants will also receive an overview of the entire program and they will be given detailed information regarding the Language & Cultural Camp in Tuscany. The volunteers that will welcome the students in Rome will stay with them for the whole week in Tuscany.
Over the next five days, the students will have a full program of "hands on activities" during the morning, focused on Italian traditions in music, cusine, art, video, and culture, as well as attend Italian lessons in the afternoons. Visits to Florence, Siena and the wonderful medieval village of San Gimignano with its unique historical, artistic and naturalistic beauties have been organized for the group.
At the end of the camp, the participants will travel to their host families where they will join them in all their normal everyday life and activities.
Participants will meet all together once again at the end of the program in Rome, where they will spend 3 days visiting the city and having the opportunity to evaluate their stay in Italy, together with students of various countries. The visits to the "Eternal City", will include the amazing ruins of the "Fori Imperiali" in the centre of Rome, visiting the Coloseum, the Vatican City, St. Peter's Cathedral, and all the other famous Roman sites of historical interest.
