Review of foreign exchange market. 12 september, 2007

At Ukrainian Interbank market demand growth on American currency noticed today caused rally of US dollar, which rate relating to hryvna increased to mark 5,02.

Today bids were opened at the mark 5,0005/5,0080, but demand growth caused quotation growth in the beginning by 5,005/5,010, and then by 5,010/5,025 per $1. To the end of the session the situation was stabilized a little bit and Us dollar rate was corrected to 5,01/5,02, at 5,005/5,0040 a day before.

Majority of bargains were concluded by market participants at the range 5,005/5,010, at 5,0020/5,0040 previous day. NBU did not come out to the market.

At DEPOT-market today some activity increase is observed which resulted into insignificant rate growth on «overnight» resources.

Hryvna «overnight» fluctuates today at the range 0,5/1,6%, at 0,4/1,0% two previous days. Weighted average price on concluded bargains constitutes 0,9%, that higher than 0,1% than previous day. Volume of concluded bargains by 16:00 КТ constitutes UAH 1,017 bln., at UAH 1,662 bln. On Tuesday.

Cost of «weekly» resources decreased a little bit. Rates fluctuation was today within 1,8/2,2%, at 1,75/2,4% a day before. Average price constituted by 16:00 КТ 2,2%, at 2,0% in accordance with bids on Tuesday. Bids volume fell by 53,4 mln., from UAH 85,9 mln, fixed on Tuesday.

Credits cost for the period «from 22 to 31 day» fluctuates today within 4,2/5,5, at 4,8/7,0% on Tuesday bids. Average price decreased by 4,5%, from 5,9% on previous business day.
