Quotations of US dollar remain at previous range. Foreign exchange market review. 1 October, 2007

At Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market bids are without special changes and US dollar quotations remain at previous range 5,025/5,050 per $1. USD growth against UAH during latest days is encouraged by demand growth caused by renewal of payment of contracts on energy resources import since the beginning of Autumn. Majority of bargains concluded today by market participants at the range 5,040/5,045, at  5,020/5,03 per $1 a day before. Interbank foreign exchange market does not feel any influence of election process and is hardly imposed of its influence in that case if there are no deviations from accepted standards.

NBU did not participate in bids today.

At DEPO-market today lowering of rates of interbank crediting is observed after swift growth during previous session caused by limited offer during transition period.

Trade range on hryvna «overnight» today constitutes 0,3/2,0%, at 2,0/7,0% a day before, besides rates considerably decreased. Rates decreased on hryvna is favored by that fact that balances on correspondent accounts of banks increased by UAH 22,32 bln., from 20,6 bln. a day before. Average weighted rate «overnight» by 17:00 КТ constituted 1,4%, in comparison with 3,0% according to the resultsof bids on Friday. Volume of concluded bargains considerably decreased and constituted just UAH 0,282 bln., at UAH 1,720 bln. on Friday.

Cost of «weekly» resources «occupied» quite wide range about 1-5%, at 3,4/6,0% a day before. Average price on conducted bargains decreased three times, by 1,5%. Volume of bids constituted about 108 mln., at 135 mln. a day before.

Credits cost for the term «from 22 to 31 day» increased by 6,6/9,7% ,that less differs from trade range of Friday — 7,0/10,0%. Bids volume today is minimal and constitutes about 6 mln. at UAH 201 mln. a day before.
