Foreign exchange market keeps quiet. Foreign exchange market review. 12 October 2007

At Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market the today bids are characterized by relative quiet and balance. Despite a desire of bid participants to increase or decrease the rate of purchase/sale today have been balanced and the "range of balance" today was in the range 5,030/5,035. At the opening the rate made up 5,025/5,055, and by the closing moved by 5,03/5,05.

Majority of today bargains concluded at the range 5,03/5035, at 5,025/5,035 per $1 at bids on Thursday.

NBU did not participate in bids.

At DEPO-market before week-ends there is rates lowering on interbank credits.

Cost of hryvnas «overnight» remains within 0,25/0,80%. Average weighted rate «overnight» today was not changed and by 17:00 КТ constituted 0,6%. Volume of concluded bargains constituted just UAH 752 mln., at UAH 9578 mln. a day before.

After growth during several sessions in succession cost of «weekly» resources today dropped to the level 1,0/1,7%, from 1,20/3,50% a day before. Average price on conducted bargains decreased by 1,4%, from 2,6% on bids on Thursday. Bids volume constituted UAH 52 mln., at 138 mln. on Thursday.

Price on given credits for the amount «form 22 to 31 day» fluctuates today about 7%, at the range in 5,0/7,0% a day before.

Price of dollar «overnight» lowered by 5,5/6,5, from 5,75/6,75 a day before. Euro was quoted by banks for 4,0/5,0%.
