Dollar strengthening against hryvna at Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market

At Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market during today session situation was characterized by US dollar strengthening against hryvnas. Rate of American currency grew by the end of bids to the level 5,051/5,055, from 5,028/5,035 at the beginning of the year. Rate growth was caused by breach of demand and offer balance formed during last time. And market participants suppose in the earliest time the storage of situation with possible forming of misbalances. These misbalances can be connected with decrease of foreign currency inflow in the country, on the background of growth of necessity in it on behalf of importers.

Fluctuations of US dollar quotations was marked today at the range 5,028/5,060 per $1, besides majority of bargains was concluded by market participants at the range 5,033/5,037, in comparison with 5,030/5,035 per $1 a day before.

NBU did not enter the market.

At DEPO-market situation remains practically unchangeable.

Quotations fluctuations on hryvna «overnight» are at quite large range 0,25/2,00, but the main part of bargains is concluded at the range 0,30/0,60%. Average weighted rate «overnight» by 17:00 КТ constituted 0,6%, at 0,5% in accordance with results of bids on Friday. Volume of conducted bargains constituted UAH 1080 mln., at UAH 978 mln. a day before.

Cost of "weekly" resources today constitutes 1,5/2,4%, against 1,0/1,7% a day before. Average price on conducted bargains grew by 1,70% from 1,30%. Bids volume practically was not changed, having constituted UAH 56 mln., at 60 mln. a day before.

Price on issued credits for the term «from 22 to 31 day» fluctuated today within 1,1/4,5%, at 7% a day before.
