Foreign exchange market review. Wednesday. 14.11.2007

At Ukrainian interbank foreign exchange market after short interruption, hryvnia continued ascending against US dollar, in which course rate decreased to the minimal since the end of September level in 5,01/$1.

Under the influence of big offer at the end of bids on Tuesday, today session was opened at the level 5,022/5,032 per $1, and by the end of the session, rate, decreasing a little bit, reached the mark in 5,008/5,015 per $1, at 5,025/5,030 previous day.

Majority of bargains has been concluded today by banks within 5,015/5,020, at level 5,03/$1 on bid on Tuesday. National Bank did not enter the market.

In case of today tendency storing on bid, during two next days the currency interventions renewal for restoration of market balance by National Bank is not excluded.

At DEPO-market, in spite of continuous balance decrease on correspondent accounts of commercial banks in the NBU, situation becomes stable and resources cost growth stopped.

«Overnight» credit rates fluctuate today at the range 0,50/1,5%, at 0,50/1,75% on Tuesday. Main part of bargains was concluded today within 1,00/1,25%. "Overnight" average rate by 17:00 КТ constituted 1,2%, decreased on 0,1% in comparison with Tuesday results. Concluded bargains volume constituted UAH 1,63 b., at 1,73 b. in accordance with Tuesday results.

Credit trade range for the term «from 2 to 7 days» increased today by 1,75/3,1% from 1,75/2,5% a day before due to which average price on concluded bargains increased by 2,2%, from 2,0% a previous day. Registered bargains volume constituted 208 m., at 261 m. In accordance with results of Tuesday.

Price on credits for the term «from 22 to 31 days» fluctuated today at the range 4,3/7,0%, at 4,0/6,0% at the previous day.

Dollar "overnight" today became cheaper by 5,5/6,0%, from 5,5/6,5 a day before, Euro for the same term was quoted within 4,0/4,75% of annuals.
