Gold and silver futures increase
As of April 3, situation at precious metals market was characterized by quotations decrease. Today at morning trade session in Asia , gold was traded at $893,00-$904,00 per ounce . Gold trade on New York Mercantile Exchange was opened at $894,10 level , afterwards it decreased somewhat its position. On April 2 , New York Mercantile Exchange closure was fixed at $904,00 per ounce.
On Wednesday, gold and silver rose in price on COMEX against the background of speculative purchasing after a great drop of prices on Tuesday. Speculative demand increase is explained partly by the US dollar drop against the background of the rise in oil price. Gold futures quotations increased according to trading results on COMEX by $12,40 up to $900,20 per ounce. Silver futures rose in price by 29 cents and closed the bids at $ 17,18 mark.
London morning fixing, on April 3, constituted $898,25 per ounce, while the National Bank of Ukraine rate was established at $893,50 mark per ounce.
