Sharp growth of gold and other precious metals prices
As of April 17, situation at precious metals market was characterized by quotations decrease. Today during morning trade session in Asia gold was traded at the level $942,50-$945,00 per ounce. While opening New York Mercantile Exchange gold at bids was at the level $942,30, then slightly increased. April 16, closure was fixed on $945,50 per ounce at New York Commodity Exchange.
Record oil price increase, euro strengthening, and anxiety by situation with inflation caused sharp gold and other precious metals prices increase. In accordance with results of bids at СОМЕХ, quotations of gold futures increased USD 16,30 — by USD 948,30 per troy ounce. Silver futures increased in prices on 47,5 cents and finished bids on the mark in USD 18,325 per ounce.
Gold price on April 18, is expected within USD 948,00-954,00 per ounce.
London morning fixing on April 17, constituted $951,50 per ounce, when rate of National Bank of Ukraine was set on the mark $932,75 per ounce.
