Quotations decrease at precious metals market

As of May 14, situation at precious metals market was characterized by quotations decrease. Today at morning trade session in Asia, gold was traded at $865,10 — $865,30 per ounce. Gold trade on New York Mercantile Exchange was opened at $864,20 level, afterwards it increased somewhat its position. On May 13, New York Mercantile Exchange closure was fixed at $866,10 per ounce.

Gold and other precious metals prices dropped on Tuesday as a result of the US dollar increase supported by April data on retail sales in the USA. Gold futures quotations according to COMEX bids results dropped by 15,30 dollars — to 869,60 dollars per Troy ounce. Silver futures dropped in price by 39,7 cents — to 16,828 dollars per ounce.

For tomorrow, gold prices are expected within the range of USD 861,00-868,00 per ounce.

London morning fixing on May 14 amounted to $863,00 per ounce, while the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine was fixed at $877,00 per ounce.
