Quotations increase at precious metals market

As of 08 January situation at precious metals market was characterized by quotations increase. Today during morning trade session in Asia gold was traded at the level $862,00-$875,50 per ounce. While opening New-York commodity exchange gold on bids was at the level $874,90, then increased a little bit. 07 January at commodity exchange in New-York closure was fixed on the figure $859,30 per ounce.      

Futures on gold 7 January decreased, as growth of American currency and prices decrease on oil weakened demand on precious metal. At New-York commodity exchange gold with supply in February decreased on USD 3,70, by USD 862 per ounce. Futures on gold decreased also on Friday, having lost USD 3,40 per ounce, however weekly growth of contract constituted USD 23, that is about 2,7%.

That day futures on silver decreased on 17,20 cents, or 1,1%, by USD 15,920 per ounce. Average price on gold with time settlements in 2008 will constitute USD 750 per ounce, that is will be on то 7,6% higher than in 2007.

London morning fixing 08 January constituted $873,25 per ounce, when rate of National Bank of Ukraine was fixed on the mark $857,50 per ounce.
