Quotations increase at precious metals market again

As of May 16, situation at precious metals market was characterized by quotations decrease. Today during morning trade session in Asia gold was traded at the level $881,00 — $895,00 per ounce. While opening New York Mercantile Exchange gold at bids was at the level $893,30, then slightly increased. May 15, at New York Mercantile Exchange closure was fixed on the mark $881,00 per ounce.

Gold futures became more expensive against background of short positions closure. At the beginning of the session gold was supported thanks to US dollar decrease and oil prices growth. These factors encourage gold prices growth. But later futures lost part of won positions though finished the session with increase in spite of the following oil prices decrease and US dollar increase.
Quotations of gold futures (in accordance with results of bids at СОМЕХ) increased USD 13,50 — up to USD 880 per troy ounce. Silver futures became more expensive 7,2 cents — up to USD 16,685 per ounce.

During session gold futures reached maximum mark USD 888,50, and silver futures — USD 17,04.

May 19, gold is expected to be within USD 892,00-876,00 per ounce.

London morning fixing on May 16, constituted $885,00 per ounce, when rate of National Bank of Ukraine was set on the mark $866,25 per ounce.
